Monday night!

How AWESOME was 4.02 Confirmed Dead!?! I'm loving all of the newbies already (one more than the rest...lol). If you want to hear our take on it, tune in Monday night when we'll be recording our 4.02 show, and maybe talk about a theme as well! We'll also hopefully be able to report and official end to the writer's strike, as negotiations are set to take place tomorrow =D Until then, here is Wednesday night's episode, in which I discussed 4.01 The Beginning of the End

Episode 38 - 4.01 The Beginning of the End

Once again, great podcast! I completely agree, all of the new characters are great additions to the show (I think Dan may be quickly becoming my favorite character). Best line possibly ever (simply because of the delivery): "Karl, if you're going to sleep with my daughter, I insist you call me Ben."

Did anyone else notice the callback to The Hunting Party with the "How stupid do you think I am?" scene? Also, it was kind of ironic that Miles said TO JACK "Like right now, Jack would be saying, tell my sister that I love her," when none of them realise that Jack actually DOES have a sister.

Overall, some of the best writing I've seen in a long time, the best one-liners of any episode (besides maybe Tricia Tanaka is Dead), great new characters, and great flashbacks, this might just be better than the premiere!

Good catches, spencer! I wondered why Miles went so far as to say that sister thing to Jack -- I thought it was overkill -- but I totally forgot about Claire!

The writing was excellent with a few shout-outs to the fans.

Hey all.

Sorry I didn't make it to last week show, or Big-O's show. Some "Drama" in my life has made me a little more busy that I'd like. Which makes me sad cause I can't listen to all the Lost Podcasts I love so much.

But don't worry all, all is well in Joshland, and for those who heard my story in our Greatest Hits episode, it's nothing related to anything like that.

I reallllly liked this episode a lot, and have a lot to say about it. I hope you all tune in on Monday, and unless things change really fast in my life, I should be pretty fiesty, and pretty funny.

Just got a theory - Locke was trying to go to the cabin in a different direction than Hurley found it. I think that Locke had already gone back to the Cabin, removed the ash/mystical sand ring around it, that was keeping the cabin in one place. That is why is could move around everywhere, there is nothing to keep it in one place.

Spencer: I got the impression from Confirmed Dead? that Locke hasn't been back to the cabin since he was there with Ben.

I think it was a case of Jacob summoning Hurley. I still think Jacob is imprisoned in the cabin, but maybe the cabin can move.

Spencer - I didn't catch the sister thing...thats awesome =D

Also, I agree that SOMETHING removed the ash circle. I don't know if I think it was Locke, because he seemed genuinely surprised that Hurley saw the cabin.

How about this: BEN removed the ash circle. After he shot Locke, he took another trip to the cabin, and decided that protecting Jacob from the people on the freighter was more important than having him under control. Remember, at this point, Mikhail had already told Ben that Naomi had parachuted onto the island. Maybe this is why Miles is on the team, to find Jacob.

So my school let out two hours early today (for some imaginary bad weather, thank you SE PA) and i didn't know what to do with myself, so I decided to investigate the newspaper, and after using multiple software programs, I have determined that it is impossible to come up with the date on the paper. But, I went onto an online translator, and the article mentioned at the top of the paper has a strange translation. 'Le lavage de cerveaux en liberte' literally translates to 'The washing of brains for freedom,' assuming that the internet isn't lying to me. Maybe a reference to the fake wreckage of 815, or maybe room 23?

Hey Amanda, Glad the LOST community is discovering Jeremy Davies. I've been a big fan of his for several years, and I was thrilled when I heard he was cast for Season 4. Recently, he was great in last year's Rescue Dawn with Christian Bale. His character in that film, as well as his eerie portrayal of Charles Manson in the TV movie Helter Skelter are very similar to his Faraday character on LOST. Fair warning - you may want to avoid 1994's Spanking the Monkey... It's a little creepy....

Keep up the great work!

i had a comment about ben's photo. remember when ben was in lockes "vision" wasnt he at an airport by a monitor? and wasnt he wearing a vest? i think the photo may have been taken there so does that mean locke's vision was real? or parts of the vision was real?

I thought about the vision Locke had too! If I remember correctly, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were in line at security and Ben was the dude "wanding" them...I believe he was wearing a uniform (like a TSA uniform?).

I think there must be some connection...

Just thought of something after listening to the black rock podcast, after they said one word. Salt. Anyone remember a certain season 2 episode named '?' ? Next to the pearl station was what appeared to be a ring where salt was. This episode, Locke is upset when he can't find Jacob's cabin, and again picks up a little bit of the ring around where the cabin used to be. I don't know what the connection is, maybe another place where the cabin used to be?
