So...I fail....

First of all, Happy Lost Day. I wish I was more excited. Second of all, Josh and I would both like to apologize, myself in particular. Josh has been having some problems with his computer, and by "some problems" I mean he can't use it at all. If he didn't have an iPhone with ridiculous capabilities, I probably wouldn't have spoken to him at all in the past two weeks or so. I have been going through a very difficult experience personally, and to be frank, the podcast is the last thing on my mind. We were going to try to do a last minute show last night, and I passed out at 5 p.m. after not having slept for three days, only to wake up at 5 a.m. and kick myself. I hope you'll all be understanding towards both of us, and that we will be able to get back on some kind of schedule now that the show is back on.

While we do not know exactly what that schedule will be, I can tell you that there will be an initial reaction show following tonight's episode. We will probably make an announcement about our next show at that time.

Once again, thank you for bearing with us, and enjoy the premiere tonight

Namaste,
Amanda

It's alright. I know what it's like to have real life get in the way *cough* Heroes Music Tracks @ http://heroesmusictracks.blogspot.com/ *cough* My dad's Mac has gotten hosed recently (thus no 2nd vid to post as of yet) and I've seen a few podcasts begin to fade due to real life. Hopefully you guys aren't one of them...

lol, would you prefer I publicise my podcast the way you publicise your website, rather than tell you not to listen to it?

Well, you've done the right thing in making it your Google display name!

I agree %110 with patrick, if this podcast was to go away, it would be a real shame. This is, without a doubt, my favorite podcast, and even if I haven't been very active in the last few months, I have been listening. You all do a great job, and best wishes with whatever the situation is Amanda.

Now that the sentimental stuff is out of the way, I do have a quick theory about why the others weren't with Locke when the island moved. It's because they would have been on the island at the time that the island moved to. Let me explain:

Let's assume (for no real reason) that the island moved back in time 5 years originally. All of those others would have already been there, but at a different place on the island then where they were next to Locke. So, like Desmond in the Hatch, they were "transported" to the spot they would have been at the time the island moved to. None of the Losties remaining would have been on the island at that time, or any of the times that the island moved to during the premiere. Juliet may be the hole in my theory, but it is theoretically possible that there was a time between the beachcraft crashing and her arrival.

I know this may all be a stretch, or just plain confusing, but I thought it was interesting to think about (oh, the best part of the premiere was definitely a tie between the 'dead pakistani' line and the Hot Pocket.

Spencer, thanks for your support - it really means a lot.

I'm loving your theory, because it makes total sense. I'm not 100% sure when the beechcraft crashed, but I can convince myself that it was more than three years ago. Eko was running around pretending to be Yemi for awhile.

The dead Pakistani line was my QUOTE (Quote Ultima of the Episode™)

Hey Amanda and Josh, we all miss you and hope you will both be back in action soon. (In the mean time we do have seven hours of Claude and Justin to gnaw on until you get back!)
Echoes all around when we say never fade away, many of us are seldom heard from but we listen every minute and love you guys a lot. -Izzy.

God, I forgot how much I love the Lost Lowdown...

I love that you guys take your sweet time, but the Lowdown boys take their time AND yours. I love them so much too. Justin, recently actually spontaneously and unrehearsedly, asked my favorite lost theory challenge question ever in a podcast: "Wait, wait--why in the world would Walt wanna work with Widmore?" That's *TEN* w words in one question! Wonderful way with words.

I love them, but Amanda you are my favorite podcaster and I'm really sorry you are going through hard times. I know it sounds pitiful and perhaps geeky, but you are like an actual friend to so many of us, we don't care about the Podcast schedule, we care about you way more. Come back when you can and relax and enjoy it again. Rest those ruby wings and don't worry about us. We miss you AND your scary roaring trains.

-Izzy

Hey Amanda and Josh, sorry to hear things aren't going well for either of you at the moment. Hopefully things get better soon. I know we all miss you. With the the holiday season, I hadn't had much of a chance to listen to podcasts myself and I had probably six Lost Flashbacks backed up on my iPod. I listened to probably 12 hours of you guys in the days leading up to the season premiere, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Thinking about you!

Hey guys josh here.

OMG thank you all for the amazing words. It means so much. My computer is mostly dead. The victim of a major virus.

If you really are pinning for some Josh and Amanda listen to Big-Os cranky fanatic podcast. We both appeared there after the premiere and had tons of fun with some old Lost friends.

I love the Theory about the others and it makes sense. It also protects the writers from running into one of the biggest problems in time travel. It prevents the characters from running into their future self. Which Doc. Brown told us all could destory the entire Universe.

We will really try to do a show after the episode on Jan 28. How can you tell how spoiler free I've been? I don't know the title of the episode.

Love you all. Honestly.

Josh

P.S. I'm considering purchasing a mac. Which has certian programs that may make the podcast 10000000x better. Woot!

Lost is not the same without you two! I have been a long time "silent" listener to your podcast and have come to love your show and feel like Lost is just not fully back yet! I have been getting by with listening to many other podcasts, but it's like having to pick vanilla when you're favorite Chunky Monkey is out of stock!

My prayers are with you both!

The lost lowdown is only 7 hours long? The slackers. I remember when they used to do 27 Hour podcasts. (Just kidding, i still love them). And if Amanda calls the dead pakistani line, then I guess my favorite moment is Hurley's Hot Pocket-Fu (as they call it on LOSTcasts). Happy LOST Wednesday everybody!

My favorite line? Other than the "dead Pakistani". Definetly is from Alpert.

Alpert: take this compass
Locke: what does it do?
Alpert: it points north John.

That was my favorite line by far. Anyways, three minutes til Jughead from where I am...

BTW, I just saw Malcolm David Kelly (Walt) in a commercial for some frozen food DURING the rerun of "The Lie." Absolutely BLEW MY MIND. If you got Cindy in there somehow, it couldn't merely be a coincidence.

Off to LOST!

Saw the last two minutes of "The Lie"... If it wasn't apparent at the first airing, the enhanced thing said that Ms. Hawking's full name was ELOISE Hawking. Awwww, Faraday.

Just realized how Widmore, Pace, and now Hume (which got to me)share the same namesake. Makes for a mildly eerie family, don't it?

Josh, Alpert might have had a better line during the premiere -
