STAR TREK!

Hey all.

I know this is a Lost Blog, but since JJ, and a bunch of other Lost peeps are working on Star Trek I figured it was cool to talk about this here. Also, it's my blog, so there.

The new Star Trek trailer is AMAZING! Every fear I had about that movie is now gone. Which may turn out to be a bad thing, since if I go in thinking it will be the greatest star trek movie ever, and it's not, I'll be very disapointed. However, I find it hard to see how it will not be amazing. It may not be better than The Wrath of Khan, or First Contact, but that would be ok. I love those two movies. But if this one even comes close...oh my goodness.

The trailer site is below. The movie comes out on May 8th, and you can BET there will be a Lostflashbacks episode dedicated to it. Either then, or soon after Season 5 ends.

Holy. Frakkin'. Crap. Looks EPIC in the biggest spectrum of the word. Only complaint about the trailer? Giacchino music sounded like TDK. Chord progression sounded like "A Dark Knight".

I love the trailer. Awesome. And looking forward to the episode as well.

Are we sure it's a Giacchino score in the trailer?

Many movies use scores from different movies in thier trailers for a number of reasons. However, if the score in the movie is even close to that, and the movie is anywhere near as good as these trailers have been...then this may be this years' The Dark Knight for JOSH.

The feel at the beginning and light strings present throughout the entire song makes me think the song is Giacchino, based on what he did in the 2nd trailer. But that's very true, movie trailers don't necessarily use their own score. In fact, it's kinda rare for a movie trailer to use its own score.

Damn Daylight Savings time. It = little to no Tristan Kent on Lost Flashbacks. What will I do?
